Food Review: The Mesmerizing Vista from Hampstead Cafe

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Burj Khalifa, the Hampstead Bakery and Café seamlessly blends a love for baked delicacies, gourmet breakfast items and a dessert menu to die for with a contemporary aesthetic.

However, the thing that will absolutely steal your heart is the direct view of the Burj Khalifa from the outdoor dining area. Can there be anything more majestic than enjoying your morning coffee in this vibrant city to such a grand view.

Our time here began with a delightful Breakfast Croissant and a spiced crispy Chicken Brioche from the famed breakfast menu. The Breakfast Croissant was a flaky and indulgent treat filled with a delightful medley of scrambled Eggs, Cherry Tomatoes and Feta cheese. The Spiced Crispy Chicken Brioche is more like a slider than a sandwich and comes perfectly accompanied by fries!

Our next pick was the Chicken and Leek breakfast quiche and it was a deliciously creamy, classic accompanied by a small side salad to cut through some of the richness. What followed was a plate of the locally sourced Grilled Salmon in a Garlic and Cream sauce, which is more suited to lunch in that it has a bit of smoky char on it and is served with a side of roasted vegetables.

Where Hampstead really shines is the elaborate yet carefully thought-out dessert menu that has a wide variety of flavour options and comes with such a delicious menu of Coffees made with locally roasted beans.

The showstoppers from the dessert menu were – the Pull Me Red Velvet, French Toast Sundae, and the Basque Cheesecake. The Pull Me Red Velvet is a trendy take on a classic dessert which results in a perfectly gooey instagrammable cake.

The Basque Cheesecake was lighter than air and positively oozing with berries and cream. Our absolute favourite dish on the menu, is hands down, the French Toast Sundae. It consists of a freshly baked Brioche bread soaked in Tres Leches and is served with an Almond Praline and Vanilla Ice cream that tastes like a cloud of sugary goodness!

Our time at Hampstead Bakery and Café was not just a culinary experience; it was a symphony of flavors complemented by an unparalleled view, making it an enchanting destination for those who seek the perfect blend of taste and ambiance.
