The new Etihad Rail service will slice travel time between Abu Dhabi and Dubai to an astonishing 30 minutes, reaching speeds up to 350 kilometers per hour – a velocity that approaches half the speed of sound. Already, the UAE has signed contracts with Jordan to construct a 360-kilometer rail network, hinting at potential future cross-border passenger travel throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

The trains will accommodate up to 400 travelers across business and economy classes, featuring amenities like onboard WiFi and food and beverage services.
